My 960 B230FT (1991) has two Diagnostic Units located in the engine compartment bolted back to back against the left suspension strut tower.
One is black and clearly marked "A". It contains a switch, a red LED, a flylead on the cover and has six numbered sockets out of which only three have cables in them. A 7 3 6 2 (Number 2, 6, 7 have cables) 5 1 The second one is grey and clearly marked "B". It has six numbered sockets out of which only two have cables in them. No switch or LED. B 7 3 6 2 (Number 2, 6, have cables) 5 1 I know that Diagnostic Unit A socket 2 and 6 are for the Fuel and Ignition system checks respectively but what is socket number 7 for? Similarly, what are sockets 2 & 6 in Diagnostic Unit B for and how is it used? Any help would be much appreciated. Alexander. |
