Volvo V40
Hello,
I have a Volvo V40 1.8 Petrol (Year 2001). Unfortunately the engine just went on the motorway (due to a loose coolant hose). So a couple of questions. 1. Does anyone have a suitable engine for sale? 2. Does anyone want to make an offer on the car as it is? Car, apart from engine, is in good condition. Just passed MOT and is navy blue. Thanks Andy (Near Southampton, Hampshire) |

Damn. The infamous lower radiator hose clip. It is so unfair a whole engine to be wrecked because Volvo decided to save 1p using a galvanised clip instead of a stainless steel one. Really sorry it happened to you Andy.
See here: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=59430 Check in the Sales section to see if anyone is breaking a car and selling a complete engine. You shouldn't have to pay more than £125 if you get an engine from here.
