Default Inlet Manifold & Steer lock locked

Hello all,

I own an XC90 (2018 model) and got a message displayed on the dashboard stating "steer lock locked". The car does not start displaying the same message. Towed to the garage and they advised their diagnostic states that there is an issue with the Inlet Manifold, which is going to be an expensive repair. I am a bit confused as message of steer lock locked is different and the garage will run the diagnostic again. So I was wondering had someone come across something similar. I.e. the problem is the inlet manifold and the message of lock locked displayed is just a collateral of this and not the main problem. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Many thanks!
