Hello! Help...

Just changed low beam bulb (passenger side) and now the car won't start!

Removed new bulb, still won't start...

I'd disconnect the battery leave it 30min and then re-connect. Just make sure by the time you go to re-connect you have finished replacing the bulb and plugged in the electrical connections again.

My guess is you had the key in the ignition and the ignition turned on when you've disconnected and re-connected the headlight loom?

These cars really hate electrical stuff being disconnected or connected on a live system, always turn ignition off and disconnect battery for almost anything electrical on these cars.

Top tip, also ensure you have removed the key and you have it on your person and if possible have a window down too before you re-connect the battery. These cars also have a habit of auto locking when power is applied and you don't want to lock the key inside.

When you put you're key in the ignition and turn to start position try wiggling the key it might just be a faulty ignition switch and it's a coincidence it's happened since you changed the bulb? Good luck?!

Have you tried a different key?

Sometimes if the key is in when you change any electrical component it can lose its coding it's very common on Hondas but I dont know about volvos

What are you getting in terms of lights on the dash when you turn the ignition on?

Do all the normal lights come on and go out okay? Is there any other message in the DIM? You may need to press the READ button on the end of the stalk to show you a 2nd or 3rd message.

As above try the 2nd key and as UMT says above it may be a complete coincidence and the ignition switch may be at fault as it is a common problem.
