This is my first thread and is a cry for help.
Due to an undiagnosed waterpump problem my well loved motor is now leaking coolant from a cylinder head crack just below one of the plug recesses.
The engine still runs and does not throw out white water vapour from the exhaust.
Can anyone offer advice/comments etc. on how difficult or practical it is to replace the cylinder head on this B230E fuel injected engine?
I am aware that in today's market a fully functional 240GLT saloon is only worth a few hundred pounds but this car deserves much more than a trip to the knackers yard.
Any comments welcome.

You'd be better of sticking this thread in the 200 Series section!! :-)

Straightforward enough. It's a very easy car to work on. Plenty of spares in the breakers as well. Ask Steve what he's doing with the engine he's removing. He may not want the head. There are photos of him taking the head off as well. http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...=46997&page=42
