Default can the cylinder head be removed with exhaust manifold

Question is as above

Reason: Heatshield bolts are corroded so cannot be removed in situe so the manifold cannot be removed in situe. The space is so limited cannot get any heat to the remains of the bolt heads.

Did post the same question but totally miswrote it so no one would have understood the question.

You can always remove the subframe with the whole engine/gearbox and hoist the car up using two poles lift. Dismantle the exhaust from the mid section to disengage the exhaust pipes from the extractor prior to this

Doing it that way isnt an option so it needs to come out from the top. I've had a look and it seems that there is enough space for it to come out.

Hi,

Having just lifted the head on a t5, I did find myself wondering why the turbo/manifold had to come off. But in reality I think it would be a massive ballsache to get the head out with all the turbo gubbins, certainly the brake slave would probably have to come off.

I would try and get some heat on those bolts. There isnt too much flamable stuff back there.

Hope it goes well.
