Default Living in Sussex , looking for an Amazon

Hello Volvo Folks .
I live near Lewes , Sussex . Many years ago I had an Amazon BMT775H ( bought from and looked after by my friend Chris Harte .
Sadly I had to sell ( to someone on the south coast , I’d love to know how it’s doing ) about 12 years ago as dear Chris suddenly died and I had young kids , mortgage etc etc , so it felt time to move on ( very regretfully ) .
I’m hoping to get the cash together within the next month / 6 weeks to rekindle my love of Amazons and purchase another one .
I popped down to Raystead Animal Sanctuary a couple of weeks back for the Sussex Volvo meet and chatted with some very nice Volvo folks ; Dave , Dillon and Audrey (other who’s names I can’t remember ) .
If by any chance anyone knows of any Amazons coming on the market that are in decent nick ( hopefully on the southern side of things ) then perhaps you could pass on details .
My Amazon was 1970 , so it was quite nippy and had fantastic brakes . I’d be looking for something similar , I think 1967 or younger .

Just wanted to put the feelers out . Thanks in advance .
Cheers Tom

Best of luck with your search, keep an eye on the sales section here. You could also give Rob Whitton a shout also. One thing to keep in mind that the value of Amazons have considerably jumped in the past few years, cars that were a coupe of thousand to buy a few years ago are over 10 -15K now.

Hi ya ,

A few options this end here ( east Anglia , Suffolk ) if your looking for a amazon depending on model , estate , saloon , two door and budget

For a low budget a cracking four door here my dad has could place engine , gearbox in plus interior and glass with very little outlay rock solid tho 👌

Also few estates , and a few GTs so depending on your needs and budget might be well worth a call to touch base I also have customers who might part with there cars currently have a LHD p1800E I know about and a few amazons I’ve had the nod they might sell to let them know so if any help feel free to get in touch

Thanks for your Private Message NateDog ,
I’ve tried to reply , but apparently I’m not allowed to as I haven’t posted enough . Rather frustrating to not be allowed to reply to a private message , very odd .
Anyway , if your read this , thanks very much for your suggestion ; does your restorer have a website ? Cheers Tom
