Question DashCam Footage

Does anyone else have any interesting DashCam footage captured in their Volvo's?

I'm unintentionally starting to get a few worth keeping....!! I don't go out seeking/creating footage (like some people appear to..) You don't really need to, close calls are a frequent occurrence

I run dash cams in all my vehicles, including the works van, there for my protection, close calls are par for the course these days though one tries to drive apropiatly and defensively, there always one thinks you will slap them on to avoid rear ending them when they cut you up.

If I need the evidence then I have it, I'm not interested in shareing the footage with the public. Let he whom is without sin cast the first stone. We are none of us perfect, and we all make mistakes.

Paul.

Dash cams are the new form of voyeurism and should only be used for what Paul says - they are not there for amusement, casual or otherwise and the suggested usage this only demeans the value that they have, which isn’t very high to start with.

My dashcam helped me get full £3300 pay out and saved £250 excess when my Volvo was side-swiped, so I'd say it was well worth it. Now have at least one on all our vehicles and two in the XC70.

Dick looked like he was holding his phone as if on loud speaker. Reported to police and heard nothing.

Not sure if these links will work...oh ignore the date and time stamps.

Just the sort of aggressive driving that has to be at least partly responsible for the ever rising number of motorway pile ups.

I'm inclined to agree with GVM, let him who is without sin...

A colleague at work prompted me to watch some on youtube taken from a trucks dashcam, showing all the appalling ways the driver was wronged on the road, they had however left the soundtrack on them and in all but one case the driver could be heard talking on the phone before the incident, it left me thinking 'if he had been paying attention rather than rabbitting on the phone.....'

I've had a dashcam in my cars for more than 10 years and the only accident I captured was one that I was to blame for.
