Default Oil Change S60 D5

I'm running a 2004 S60 D5 Automatic. I'm using it about 3 times/week and over the last year almost to the day I had a change of recommended synthetic engine oil. During this time I've covered 2,600 miles of journeys amounting to a 24 mile round trip.

Today the service message duly showed up. Everything else was carried out at the last main Service at 85,000 miles.

Does anyone consider whether 2,600 miles and 12 months of light usage would be sufficient to cause any risk to the engine by leaving the oil change to say 5,000 miles?

I'd really appreciate some advice,

Whichever comes first - one year or x miles. Oil suffers more with short trips. Some would say your usage falls into the severe category and change at 6 months. Under no circumstances would I leave it past the 12 month mark.
