Default Rhythmic clicking/tapping

Strange one, as stated in heading the sound is rhythmic to speed, new bearings shafts discs and pads on front, still there, louder turning right quiet turning left average in a straight line, been on lifts with mechanic friend and can’t find anything, in drivers seat sounds like near side, in passengers seat sounds like offside, 😟😟, any help would be appreciated 🍻🍻

Hi fasteddie69

What make, model and year is this car? Front wheel drive or All wheel drive?

Steve

I would suspect an outer CV joint. Did you fit new joints on the new shafts?

If you lift one front wheel at a time, what does each side sound like if you spin one wheel at a time by hand (in neutral)? See if turning the steering wheel fully left or right makes a difference.

If front wheel drive, if you start the engine and when idling put it into gear (one wheel up at a time, with handbrake fully on, and making sure you can't do any damage if it slips off the jack), what sound do you get then?
