V40 D3 egr and cooler off for a new clutch?
Hi All just been reading some posts and hope you can help with my problem, I am looking to change the clutch on a v40 d3 but cant access the last bolt on the bell housing, unless i get the hose off or remove the egr and cooler above the hose that runs round the back of the block, but cant see how to get the egr and cooler off, and theres no way to disconnect the hose round the back!!
any help would be great, (could be the worst diy car ive ever worked on)thanks paul. |

I've not done one on the V40 with the 5 banger but I can confirm that the Ford platform cars (S40/V50 & Mk 2 V40) with Volvo engines in that the platforms were never designed for can be awful for access to do basic jobs...
That's why I love Mk 1 XC90's...
