Default What is this grey connector for in rear bumper?

Hi all,

I fitted a towbar to my V60 this weekend, a drawnout affair due to shearing off a bolt for the bumper bar. But other than that quite straight forward fitted a witter swan neck bar and ECS dedicated electrics.

But whilst the bumper was off I noticed this grey unused connector in the rear bumper on the same harness as the parking sensors does anyone have any idea what it is for?

Thanks,
Matthew

Okay didn't google hard enough just found out it is the plug for the keyless antenna, mine isn't keyless and I assume it would need programming otherwise I can get a used antenna for £15 on the Bay, would be a nice upgrade if plug and play.

You'd need at least 4 antennas for keyless. One either side, rear and internal

Also, the keys are different. I imagine the costs would escalate quickly

Okay I don't want it that much : ), TBH keyless also annoyed me on my last car as if I walked past it on the drive from a distance it would unlock.

Yep, that'd be pretty annoying.

I like the Volvo implementation. It doesn't unlock until you pull a handle or press the tailgate button.

The one thing that annoys me with Volvo is the folding mirrors. They unfold when you unlock the car which is irritating when you're just opening the car to grab something. It'd be much better if they only unfolded when you start the engine like the Audi ones do
