1996 940 GLE Turbo automatic
1996 Volvo 940 GLE Turbo automatic
93,640 miles (subject to change) I purchased this car last year for a lady I work for, as it turned out she couldn't insure it due to its age (don't ask me why, I don't understand) The car was owned by an elderly gentleman who didn't use it much and it was stored for 10 years. Since then I have used it daily myself and covered 12,000 miles including several trips abroad with no issues. In the past 12 months its had New fuel pump New timing belt New accessory belts New A/C condenser New Bosch Crank position sensor New radiator Gearbox drain and refill (10 litres) New rear calipers discs and pads New front calipers disc and pads Recent wipers all round Recent coolant flush and refresh. Good bits This is a GLE Turbo model, so has full grey leather interior, sunroof and airconditioning. It is a low pressure turbo model but I have fitted an adjustable boost controller on the dashboard along with a boost gauge so you can turn the boost up from 4 to 8 psi which gives approximatley 30 hp more which is nice for overtaking. Runs and drives perfectly Nice cold A/C 4 good tyres Fresh MOT valid until 16.05.25(no advisores) Will be serviced again before sale. Genuine volvo head unit that works well all speakers good. Remote central locking with alarm and immobiliser. ZERO rust on the body or underside. Comes with roof bars and a set of winter tyres on steel wheels. Snow mats Load cover Bad bits Fuel gauge inoperative, I fill it up every 300 miles and reset the trip clock so never got around to fixing it. One of the headlight wipers is not working Rear drivers side door lock is a little tempremental when using the RCL There are numerous dings and scratches as this was a london car there have been some questionable touch ups and rattlecan repairs in places made to the car but its not too bad. (I can get the body repaired and resprayed at buyer expense if requested) I'm off to France in this car in mid June and wont be back until the 20th so it won't be availiable until then and will have accumulated another 1 or 2k miles. £4750 obo DSC_0683 (800x450).jpg DSC_0684 (800x450).jpg DSC_0687 (800x450).jpg DSC_0688 (800x450).jpg DSC_0691.jpg

I've fixed the headlight wiper and door lock problem.
I've also determined that the fuel gauge itself is working normally and the reason its not reading correctly is due to a sticking sender float
