I bought and installed one of these for a mate in here motorhome a few weeks ago:-

Pricey but an absolute beast....personally i wouldn't install a perm sat nav i use my S3 with google maps.

Used to have a toyota Yaris with one of these in as standard:-

Was a nice piece of kit...BUT....you have to get tied into tom tom's pricey update structure. If you look for a Yaris SR Nav being broken you should be able to pick one up i would think on the cheap. Mine was a 58 plate i think they ran the model from 57 through 09 then it lost the nav.

buy something with bluetooth. means you can connect your phone to it (hands free)

also go for a DAB if you can. best purchase in my car by far!!

Having no steering wheel controls for the phone will be a pain though IMHO.

Just got an IOPLAY off fleabay last night so going that route in mine

Decided not to go with factory radios Elaine, I want SD support and to add headrest monitors for longer journeys to keep the worm happy (and quiet!) We decided after much deliberation to get a forward facing child seat, we do a 200 mile trip at least once a fortnight and having a eight month old who cries most of the way really makes it hard to concentrate on driving.

i have no issues with mine. i have a control mounted on the windscreen just above the steering wheel, never had an issue so far!
