not cheeky if you ask me, if you're going to undersell your car you will get people looking at making money on it, you got what you want, then they own it and can do what they want with it

its not cheeky to say "selling cheaper than scrap value because i want it to go to another enthusiast who will cherish it and give it the proper maintenance it deserves" and sell it for LOWER than scrap value, only to have the buyer then list it for x5 times the purchase price the very next week?

you have some strange values. personally i find that very bad taste.

but you have no right to say what you want to happen to that car after you get your asking price, why didnt you put it on ebay and get as much as you could for it?, its a car just metal at the end of the day, its people like you that drive down the value of our cars

Have to say, if I have sold anything cheap because it speeds things up sale wise, or helps me out of a situation, I have never really worried about what the buyer then does with it.

I had this conversation with my neighbour across the road who purchased my lovely 850 a while ago.Sure, I would like to see him keep it and enjoy it, but I said that if he wanted to get rid later and could make money on it (I sold it dirt cheap) then he should do just that.

I did offer to buy it back from him if he was going to sell it for a rock bottom price mind you, but made it clear that if he wanted or could get more, it was his car and he should do exactly that.

He could suggest he was going to banger race it and I would still suggest it was up to him.I would be pretty gutted such a lovely machine was about to be smashed up of course, but it would still be up to him.

Volvogear in Kent now have it in for breaking with no early RIP kit (Unless it didnt originally have that) and the Pegs swapped for Columba's! What a shame.
