Default Sunroof Seals

Sunroof's seem to have been discussed on this forum before, but it seems to centre around glass sunroofs.

Does anyone know a place to renew the seals for my sunroof - the stock metal one that 240's had? Mine has perished somewhat and allows water to leak into the roof trim, whereupon it trickles onto my leg when I brake.

I'm keen to sort this one out fairly quickly.

Yes, I'd like some information on this. I broke my own rule about not touching the damn thing now I get a wet leg under braking

I would also just check the four drain tubes are clear. The front two pipes come out between the front door hinges and the rear ones join to the drains from the back window lower vent drain pipes. If you can using compressed air carefully blow into the pipes and listen to make sure they are clear.

Unless the seal is in pretty poor shape the water that gets past the seal should just be drained away from each corner. Worthing checking before spending any money.

Check the drain tubes first, thin welding wire helps sometimes to push a block through. I got a replacement seal from the Volvo dealer (classic stock) worth a shot asking if there are any around since its not expensive. Otherwise you can get similar seals "universal" from so e car parts stores by the meter/foot. Fitment might not be 100 percent but it does the job.
