It is strange though, just tried the car from cold, and now the pedal is firmer and pedal doesnt reach the stop as yesterday. it seems to be much closer to what I would consider normal 🤔. Very confusing.... could the car being totally cold make a difference? I'm going to be careful and monitor and consider bleeding myself or using a different garage. From what Ive read it now sounds like the master cylinder is okay and the likely cause is air in system or a minor leak somewhere I cant find... its odd |

I had similar issues after I replaced a faulty rear caliper and I couldn't get a decent pedal feel. I used both a pressure bleeder and the traditional two man method.
Ended up essentially changing the fluid we bled that much through (no bad thing). Perhaps give it a few more goes with bleeding it and see how you get on? The brakes now work well and it stops on a sixpence, but there is a bit more pedal travel than before, but I can live with that. Other people who have driven it since have commented that the brakes are a bit "sharp"! |
