Hi, can you tell me how to knockout the day running lights please.

a main dealer Can , or an indy with live vida sub

it Needs a Software download to make the light switch work as
"off>side lights >dipped beams"

If it is 2011 or newer , you cant , main dealer cant as its a mandatory thing by law

Hi Andy, it's a C70 2.4i convert 2006. I wouldn't mind but the headlights are on as well as the sidelights. Thanks for the info.

2006 - before the law change so it can be done
i think paul rigby in brum quoted about the £70 mark for it when i asked

Can you just take the bulbs out? Or put a heavy black tape over them (so no CANBUS errors are triggered)?

Even after 2011, if its the main beam on rather than proper led DRL, you can still have them turned off. Main beam on is not DRL, the legislation for those is quite specific and headlamps don't count. It only applied to cars type approved after that cut off date. Its a moot point anyway as Volvo changed the design around that time anyway and put in proper DRL replacing the fog lights.
