Default V60 D6 Range

Hi All,

Does anyone know what the battery degradation / reduction in all electric range is for the V60 D6 plugin hybrid? I think these had a theoretical 31-mile electric range? I would be interested what people get now.

Thanks in advance.

Around 35-40km. Don't know if it was considerable more when new.

Theoretical range reads 30 miles in my 4.5 year old D5. Actual range max around 23/24 in warmer months and something like 18 miles in winter.

80k miles on mine, I get 24/25 miles on battery. Will be selling it soon as it was my commuting vehicle and I am no longer going to be commuting.... Its a lovely car but I can't justify it anymore.

I am about the same as Tober above. You need to adjust your driving style to get the best out of it and pre-conditioning helps. Over long distances it is also economical on diesel getting 40mpg+ on fast cross europe trips.

To the seller, if you do not need a car then by all means sell but if you intend replacing it with something supposedly ‘cheaper’ just bear in mind that depreciation is by far the highest cost of car ownership and far more than any saving of a few mpg.

Absolutely, thing is we already have a Leaf which we do most of our journeys in and a V8 Discovery 3 which we use for towing and going away with the children (the one drawback of the PHEV V60 is the reduced bootspace). When we were both commuting everyday my wife took the leaf and I took the Volvo. Now we are both working at home so for the few occasions we do need two vehicles I'll take the hit on fuel in the Disco (which has an LPG conversion so isn't as bad as it sounds!).

Yes the V60 is a very good tow car - probably better than the FL2 we had - but the boot space is the Achilles heel.
