I took it to my local KwikFit-like place (Norauto) and they were unable to recharge the system due to a leak. They couldn't say exactly where the leak was as they'd need to take the bumper off (I'm quoting BTW, I know nothing) So, no charge and the system is empty. So I guess that's better then nothing, and at least the Duracool stuff is out of the equation .
Now to find someone capable to repair it (there are no AC specialists locally, the nearest Volvo dealer is 110km away and would require 2 limbs) If the problem is just a leak(s) then it makes me wonder about the garage that stuck the Duracool in. Of course, it could be coincidence, there could be another problem and the leaks could have occurred post recharge. Onwards.... |
