Broken coil spring.
To cut a very long story short, my car was absolutely fine until being in the care of a recovery company who were having my car fixed after they damaged it when dropping it off at a garage to have the starter motor fixed. At the same time I had a full 6 year service done.
They then arranged to have it picked up and taken to a body shop to be repaired which they did. Whilst in their care it developed a broken coil spring to which they wanted to charge £250 before being released. After putting a case file together and threatening legal action they had my car delivered back to me without charge with the bodywork having been completed and a new coil spring. My question is, will this now need a wheel alignment? Also, how common is this? 2016 S90 with just over 50,000 on clock. Many thanks |

I had a front coil spring break on my last XC60 after about 6 years and 64K miles.

You should see a single piece plastic transverse leaf spring under the rear. Fortunately the wheels are not directly attached to the ends as they were on the Triumph Herald and Spitfire!!!
