Interesting seems like they changed the rules then.
As when I went to renew the tax on my car last year it was coming up as costing £585! Quite annoying as I sold it mainly due to the tax going up so much!

Road tax
My imported V70 petrol n/a 2007 cost in January £280 for a full year. All because it is an import, worth thinking about maybe?

I think there is a crossover point where it goes to £585. Iknow my 2.4t is £330 (around that) and is 'locked' at that price so wont be affected by any changes to tax bands in near future. I have looked before and panicked that it would go up but from memory its something to do with when the car was built
