Default C70 as daily driver?

Dear Community,

I am currently driving a 2011 S40 and am playing with the idea of buying a C70 (2010 or later). What is your opinion, can this car be a good daily driver like the S40?
I am usually driving alone, sometimes with one person and rarely with more.

No real problems with it being a C70 IMO, mine was a money pit, but it was areas common to other D3 Volvos.

It's lovely to drive at any time but have a sunny day with the roof off and your cares will be blown away.

I have a D5 and it's reasonably economical. I understand a T5 is a bit thirsty.

As I'm greeting old codgerhood, an auto was a must for me and it's a very relaxing drive.

I'd say go for it.

i think my car was very similar to yours . red facelift c70. ours has the ford based 2.0 diesel engine . a few small problems but nothing major.

Thank you all for your input

I wanted to go for the T5, because petrol engine sounds better and there is the chance that diesel will be banned from cities, but there are only a few around and they are overpriced imo.
I am currently considering the D4 engine. My S40 has D3 and for the past 4 years I had no problems with it. As I understand these two engines are really similar, so I am at ease with this choice.

in the uk road tax is high for the t5 plus the price of fuel makes some cars week end drivers only. older pre facelift cars tend to be cheaper to buy .
