Now why would you want this if you already had AUX in and, also splitting hairs, there's no such thing as an AUX button. Mode, maybe.
I wondered that but thought it worth a shot as there is no Aux button and all cars with the mode button would have Aux but worth a shout to the seller I suppose before looking for a third party source. These cars are notoriously difficult to add audio sources to!

The highway has the fm transmitter, but in the past it has proved unreliable, haven't switched it over from other car yet. So busy, you would think it was christmas week or something haha, I'm going to pull the radio from the dash when I get a chance and take a look see what's there.

At the end of the day £17 wont break the bank so I might give it a try.

Because I wanted to drive an iPod Classic powered by a couple of Rockford Rosgate amps. mated to the stock Volvo head unit I fitted an Audio Control LC2i like this one: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wmF3Jxp...trol-LC2i.html

It works a treat, the sound is sublime but it was very expensive (£300) but when included in the total system it was a necessary item.

Sadly it is no longer made but with a bit of searching you could probably find a used one on one of the specialist car audio forums like AVF. https://www.avforums.com/categories/hi-fi-forums.523/

Old thread, new 2010 C30 owner here!
My stereo is not premium, it just shows a picture of the C30 when it powers on.
I have an aux socket in the arm rest, but the head unit does not have a "mode" button, only a "CD" button and there's no aux option when I press CD, only CD, USB and iPod.
So I have an iPod interface, a USB port AND an aux socket in the arm rest centre console, but I can only select the iPod interface, or USB on the head unit.
I don't understand why some owners have no aux socket in their arm rest at all, and therefore no mode button - that makes sense.
Where I whereas I have the aux socket present, but no mode button and apparently I can't use aux as a result!
Any help would be appreciated.

Something's not right there. A 2010 car should have an AM/FM, Eject and Mode button on the top row. Cars circa 2006 and earlier would have AM/FM, Eject and CD on the top row.

What I fear has happened in your case is that a previous owner has swapped the centre console unit for an earlier one, perhaps because of damage to the fascia, not realising that the fascia detaches and can be swapped over. Alternatively their previous console unit had a fault and fitted an earlier on from a breakers/eBay.

Try picking up a second hand centre console of the correct vintage from eBay and see if Aux springs to life. Be careful to make sure you get one with the correct buttons. If you have heated seats, look for one with seat heating buttons and if you don't without. That's really the only nuance I can think of.
