Default V50 d5

Hi there everyone this is my first post. I've read thread and posts on here for years find it very helpful. I've own a v50 auto d5 2008 euro5 for 6 years. I noticed my swirl arm is off probly been off all my ownership. My questions are is the swirl flaps worth doing?? I get 29 to 30mpg round town and in the 40s on motorway. I've always thought when setting off in my v50 seem to not have so much power. But when rpm goes above 2000 all the power kick in then. Seems like a 5 cylinder engine should be tourqe right at the bottom of rpm range. Car runs fine to me but I have never been in another d5 volvo to compare. Thanks lee

Swirlflaps takes care of good mixing of fuel and air under partial load ,so it improves fuel consumption and produces less soot which fills the dpf.
Also if the airmass required differs to much it will restrict power.
Its not that hard to fix the swirlarm
