C70 A Pillar and header trim removal
Hi all. I’ve had my C70 a few weeks now and have slowly been tackling the mechanical needs, but I’m now getting ready to put it into more regular use and want to install my dash cam. Before i start randomly trying to remove the A Pillar trim and header trim I thought I ask if anyone has done this and where are the clips etc located. At 17 years old i know the plastic could be a bit fragile so would welcome any advice before i start. Thanks in advance

I found there was enough space between the trim and the windscreen to carefully push the camera’s cable behind both these trims without removing either.

Hi
Did the same on my V50, I also piggybacked off the 12V socket in the centre consul for the power supply. The socket panel just lifts out and there was room for the camera power supply underneath. All the wires tucked under the trim without any trim removal. Wire from centre consul then under the dash and tucked behind the A pilar trim and behind the roof trim along the top of the windscreen. I did unclipp the trim around the centre mirror to drill a hole on it. I bolted the camera to this trim instead of using a sucker. A lot neater and tucks out of the way a bit better.
