Default rear tailgate glass.

Hi Guys, Another slight problem, had rear tailgate glass removed and the earth wire has come off from the soldered joint plate .. Would soldering it back on be ok if done gently,,??? Took it out as there's a bit of rust to deal with, Regards Adrian,,,!!! 89 gl estate. b200e

had the same problem on my old 850 . Didn't want to risk soldering it so I used Granville demister repair paint . I used it as a sort of adhesive to attach the soldered wire , then built up several layers over the top , letting each one dry before applying the next one . Worked a treat and still worked when I sold the car 3 years later .

I have soldered it back on using two pieces of wire then soldered the both together on to the original wire which work ok, ,plus shrink tubing,,, regards,!!!
