Default Door Locks

I have read the various threads on here and mine most likely is similar, but just asking advice

I have 2014 XC60. For a few months now, the drivers door has not been unlocking with the key fob. It locks perfectly fine remotely, just unlock is an issue. More recently, it is temperamental and will work some days, unlocking remotely, others not.

The rear passenger door now does not unlock at all using the remote key. It locks perfectly fine but will not unlock

The boot sometimes will not open on the remote key fob.

Please tell me that these all cannot be the indivdual actuators? As those are like £300ish each

I was wondering if the keyfobs could be damaged? I've replaced batteries in both but both keyfobs have been dropped at some point and the trader was dodgy, so no idea on whether they were damaged before.

Or I have read that solonoids could be a cause?

Any help much appreciated.
My drivers door lock is doing the same, wont lock until the deadlocks kick in then when it does lock, it wont unlock lol I have to drop the windows to reach in and open it from the inside.

Volvo quoted £180 + VAT for the door latch

I used one of the motors available on ebay and so far has been ok .
Hope you can find someone to help you out
Thank you - I had seen that can be done, but I guess I would need to ask if my garage would be ok to do that. haha, I am not competant

that does sound very similar - is that all? Still a lot, but much less than Volvo chap told me on the phone haha - I have it booked into local garage a week today, for them to check...I'll ask if changing the motor is something they would be able to do. Otherwise, will have to see what best price is for them to replace

well, garage just confirmed that both locks need replacing. £770 for both parts and labour for the 2 of them!!! He did say I could look on youtube as had mentioned could the motors just not be replaced, and obviously unofficially said to look on youtube as bound to be something if I wanted to try but if I mess it up and doors locked, they would need to get them open first, then would be the £770.

£122.50 +vat per lock for labour
£198.50 + vat for the parts!

I have seen various you tube videos on just replacing the motors but none for my car xc60 2.4 awd, the job seems simple enough and I have the motors which I got from aliexpress sitting on the side (total cost £12), hoping the job will be possible , there seems to be two types of lock - one that just comes apart and one that you have to cut the motor out and then reglue the plastic back together.
I guess I will see what I have and if it is possible!

Hi what year is your car ? I took a few photographs when I did mine and may be able to help . Keyless makes the job more awkward.
No cutting of the plastics on mine all screwed together

That would be useful to see, even info on removing the door cards is vague, but knowing what I will find when all that is removed will help.
I was thinking it may be a job that you have to do twice, first time to see what's in there and get a part number and the second time to actually fix it!
anyway it's a 14/15 plate

This is the door card removed it comes out complete with the door kock and the internal parts of the outer handle .
Its quite an involved job and the you tube videos are a good start and the info on there is basically the same .
Releasing the window from its catches was a bit of a head scratcher but the 170mm measurement is good once its lined up just use a screwdriver thrugh the bungholes to push the catches and lift ghe window at the same time
