Default xc70 difference with V70 panels

Hello

Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the body panels on a v70 and a xc70.
Are the wings doors rear quarters different?
Are the wing mirrors different?

Thanks

I would imagine that the bumpers, wings, rear quarters and sills are different. Possibly the doors as well but I would need to compare photos first. The wing mirrors I would of thought to be the same, but again I would need to compare pictures first.

It`s basically the same car mate it`s just jacked up on higher suspension and has larger plastic side skirts and bumpers

Most ofthe body panels will just swap over from one to the other minus the large plastic trimmings

I thought they were the same. Can the trims be added to a standard V70 door or is the profile different.

I`ve had a quick look on vida and it seems it`s just the trims that are different so i would assume you can bolt / screw the xc trims in place of standard ones but be mindfull of the clearance required from ground level

Cheers

The mirror are different (XC70 has larger and more square mirrors). The body has more holes for the cladding around the wheel arches and the front wings are different.

The boot lid/door might be one of the only parts that's the same!. There are definitely holes in all panels around the wheels to take the plastic trim - these would need filling in (if going from XC to V, or drilling into V panels to make an XC. Also the rear bumper is different - and the doors all have holes in for the side rubbing strips on an XC. And the door mirrors are larger on an XC. If you want all the detail on this look at Prolix Argon's thread on SwedeSpeed about converting an XC70 into a V70. He ended up making a huge number of parts and panel swaps. He's in the USA, where V70s weren't sold after 2010. He ended up with a lovely all wheel drive, T6 powered car. Very nice. It's a very long thread, over multiple years, but fascinating.
