Default power steering oil leak

I have a leak coming from the power steering system and I suspect the leak is from the pulley shaft seal as the two hoses are secure and the oil is eminating from around that area. (I suppose a cracked resavoir could also be a cause but this is difficult to disprove without a complete strip down)
Is it possible to change the seal and if so is it difficult? and are there any special tools required?
Thanks for any assistance

Cool

Hi Paul: You don't say what Volvo it is, but try the FAQ section.
(2 indexes at the bottom of the page.)

http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/FAQSummary1.html

This is the steering section.

But need to know what Volvo it is really?

Default Power steering oil leak

Sorry about forgetting the important details oilydad
The car is a 3ltr 960 96 model estate 160+k
Since i removed the pump to check it (I didn't remove the oil pipes) it seems to be losing less oil and I have tracked down some 960's in a breakers yard not far away (Doncaster) where I should be able to aquire parts, hence the questions
Thanks

Thanks for the info Paris 6262 i have had the car 15 years and never needed to top up the oil level.
The leak seems to have stopped since I removed / replaced it (as I said in the original post not uncoupling the pipes)
Thanks
