Hello everybody!

I'm back with bad news.
Volvo doesn't supply anymore bleeding nipples for brake calipers (front and rear).
Can anyone give me a link where I can find these bleeding nipples or their dimensions (for both front calipers and rear ones)?

Many thanks!!!

Hi..i"ll start you on your journey to find the bleeders..I"m no expert but after a quicksearch i found a company www.brakesinternational.co.uk I came across them on a volkswagon forum..They were supplying bleeders for girling calipers..(not sure of the type of caliper)..They appear to supply braking parts for volvo 740?..I have no idea if the 240 uses the same system or not?..The standard size of bleeder for the girling seemed to be M7?..Its a shot in the dark at the moment but will keep looking..(anybody know the type number of the 240 front and rear calipers?)..would be useful imformation..and its new territory for me too.. cheers hj.

Many thanks honestjoe for the link
I'll take a look tomorrow at the calipers and get their codes.

Finally managed to replace all faulty and rusty components of the braking system (after almost 6 months of searching for parts and buying them)
Fitted new bearings for the front wheels, good front calipers, refurbished rear brake calipers, new front discs covers and their inner mounting rings, new brake discs on all 4 wheels and brake pads + their accessories (kits), a good system bleeding also done at the end.
Now my 240 got back its braking efficiency (feels like new).
After 10 hours of work in 2 persons.
It was all worth it.
No photos as all was done in a hurry, as usually.
But will post some later with the end result.

Still have to replace the rear brake discs covers.
