Default Something to check... if your Volvo dies

I had a spot of bother last week, Flattened the battery trying to start the tank, under first inspection, I pulled the fuel pump relay, physically switched it on, nothing,
Checked for spark, and destroying ignition leads in the process... got a belt, so it was assumed ok, and finally got towed home.
Checked the fuelling with a .5w bulb on the injectors, and got a pulsing light,
OBD gave a code of '1'
I decided to go back over the system from start, Pulled the spade terminals off the ignition coil and connected a bulb up to them, got a sort of glow... AHA!
refitted the spades, turned the key, and cough cough vrooom put put put put.... *dead*
In the end, cost £11 from hellfrauds for a new ignition lead set (trade) and remade the 2 spade connectors to connect up to the 12v in on the coil. and treated them to silicone grease.
Something to bear in mind as the spade connectors taken off were hashed up and rusted badly.
