V40 2.0 cd 1997 - £695

Decided to start another thread on this, as quite a bits changed since I listed it last week!

Quick summary;
Car: Volvo V40 1948cc 16v Petrol, CD (top) spec, Black. 140bhp at new.
Price: £695, as i need it to be sold within a week.
Condition: Drive it away! Few minor problems but otherwise a stellar car.
Also Included: Timing Belt Kit, MOT (Sept 2011), Tax (Mar 2011).
Extras (Price to add if you want them): Black Leather Seat Set and Door Cards (+£90), Phase 2 headlights/front indicators (+£40), Delivery (+£depends on mileage!)

I've just bought a new car, which I get on the 23rd Feb, so ideally this needs to go before then.

The car has done 152,100 miles, the pictures on the thread above were just over 150,000, so it is in the same condition. Service history is a stamped up book, with one or two missing.

During my ownership, its had a new control arm (OSF), I replaced the metal coolant pipe, replaced the door microswitches, i've put in a black dashboard to replace the beige, and put in a MP3 stereo connection.

The current list of issues are detailed below;

- Steering wheel not quite on straight (not really a problem!)
- Gearstick is a little sloppy, and it can struggle to engage reverse, 1st and 2nd at times.
- Dashboard lights - some are out, some work. Same with Radio.
- The only mark worth mentioning on the whole car is a 2 inch scratch underneath the fuel flap.
- One headlight wiper doesn't wipe!

It had a very feint gearbox noise last week but it seems to have disappeared...i'm unsure what it was, or if it would come back.

Cosmetically, its in great condition, there's no denying it, and as its the CD model, it has the 6CD multichanger, electric sunroof, all electric windows, cruise control, air con - which all work fine.

It drives lovely, I have a 25 mile commute to work and I always get there feeling relaxed and chilled

I've kept it on the Northern Irish plate, VCZ3858, but I have a proper V5 log book from the mainland DVLA. Its located in Nuneaton, right in the middle of England.

Its taxed until end of March, and MOT is end of September.
