Surely somebody is interested in this car?
Owner will accept £1475 which just has to be a fair price for a really nice example! If I didn't already have two 300s I would buy this one myself. Mollusk. |

The Redline i posted a few weeks back was as tidy as this and he only wanted £300 for it, no one seemed to want it even at that price.

To be honest I really don't see much point in advertising cars here - a year ago I posted my perfectly good 940 here for what I thought was a fair price - and getting any interest was like pulling teeth. (eventually it went to a good home, to a regular on a different forum).
I'm not sure anymore what people want - brand new condition, with T&T for £5? Perhaps things would be different if this were a forum for genuine old Volvo lovers. I really am wondering if it's worth trying to help people any more - this vendor seems to have more chance with the local free paper. I'll just crawl back under my rock! Mollusk. |

Sorry Mollusk, that wasn't a dig at you, i'm just saying it does look to be a very nice low mileage 300 with service history, but thats just it. It's an old 300, are they worth that money yet?
Maybe the owner should contact the dealer who advertises on here with mint low milage Volvo's for "healthy" prices. I also find the problem with specific car forums is the users generally already have atleast 1 car of that marque so are they going to want another?

No,no, not taken as a "dig" at all - just really a rant in general - as you pointed out nobody bites at any price.
But if no body wants a "nice example" on an enthusiasts forum I guess nobody wants them at all. Been even less response on V3M - and we're the REAL anoraks over there. Please don't think your comments offended me in any way - I you feel you might have then the fault is mine in the way I grumbled!. Still under his rock - Mollusk. |

The car is lovely no doubt about it , but that money buys a much newer car nowadays .
That is a very limited market and to be fair its not even a desirable classic nor likely to become one any time soon its simply a very clean old car. No offence meant in any way and I do wish you luck with the sale. Andy

Haha no problem at all, yeah i agree, i used to spend a lot of time on V300 when mine was on the road.
Puts me in a pickle then as i want to sell my own 300 soon abeilt with No tax or Mot, needing some welding for the Mot. By the looks of it the wheels (Ultralites) and engine (2ltr F7R) seems to be the only bit of value to it, at this rate it'll be getting broken for spares, so another 300 comes off the roads.
