Default S60: something loose inside

Hey all, recently notice my boot lid has a rattle when opening and closing, I've already remover the fabric skin inside to take a look, and it appears it's in between the second (outer) skin on the boot lid, but I can't see how this is removed, or even if it can.
Anyone know how or what I should do?
Cheers
Lee

Hello, You removed the "fabric" and saw, "and it appears it's in between the second (outer) skin on the boot lid, but I can't see how this is removed,"

It's in between the second (outer) skin on the boot lid AND WHAT? Is it between the car's sheet metal a bracing element? Move the lid rapidly and really get it to rattle. Use a piece of hose to your ear and nail the location down.

It could be a license plate bulb which was dropped in there. I have one of hose rattling about. A friend suggested squirting some glue inside the inaccessible pocket to secure whatever's rattling. Kira

I know what you mean, there is something between the plastic boot lid dressing (the area with the numberplate etc on it) and the steel lid itself, like in this diagram

The dressing is item 12 and the steel lid is item 15

It is removable, but I don't know how it's held on, in the diagram it says it is held with clips, but there could be glue involved somewhere

Anyway, hope this helps somehow
