Default Intermittent knocking noise

Hi everybody,
I've got this strange problem where I get a tap-tap-tap-tap sound coming from the front right, but only when I'm just coasting. Even the lightest touch of either the accelerator or the brake and it goes away. If I'm going faster, the knock is faster, and it doesn't matter if I'm in gear or not, clutch in or out.

I went through the suspension about a year ago and did the outer CVs, drop links, and wishbones on both sides. I've just had it apart again, thinking it must be the inner CV this time. I've pulled the whole driveshaft out and degreased everything. There don't seem to be any signs of wear on either inner or outer CV, and the parts shop wants 200 quid for for a new inner!

Please help!

Have you checked the drive shaft screw in the hub?

Well, the problem seems to have sorted itself out! I packed the hell out of both inner and outer CV joints, and put new boots on... and no more knocking! On the drive home from the workshop anyway, we'll see if it stays away for good. I do remember thinking that the old grease looked a bit thin when I took the CVs apart.
