Default Slight lag

Good evening guys,
I have been doing quite a few little bits to my S80 D5 (2004) (lots of tiny things wrong), but the biggest issue i have is if cruising along say 40 in 4th/5th, if i then put my foot down to accelerate i get a bit of lag before she starts to pull, this seem to only happen when warm (mainly after an hour or so, or at least i notice it). i tried to lock of the vacuum to both engine mounts to see if i was losing air there, with no change.
I have experienced a lack of power on my S40 t4 which was due to the actuator getting "lazy", could this be this issue?

Thank you in advance

Ben

I had exactly the same symptoms on my S80 2.0T Petrol - it was a knackered TCV (boost solenoid / turbo actuator).

I assume they're a similar setup on the diesel? Basically it was sticking open, bypassing the turbine wheel and giving no boost. The warmer it got the worse it got until I had no turbo at all.

On the early D5 (Euro 3), the TCV is mounted on the front of the air filter housing and controls the vac engine mounts with the TGV just behind he starter motor on the front of the engine block controlling the turbo vanes.

Assuming the diesel has a similar setup to the petrol, you should be able to follow the hose from your wastegate actuator back to the tcv/boost solenoid.

Takes about 2 minutes to remove and replace on the petrols, can't see the diesels being much different (but always happy to be corrected).

My second hand unit made a huge difference, but I will be replacing it (and the hoses) with new ones in the near future as there is still very slight lag when it kicks down at motorway speeds.

Update:
I have tested the vac mounts and both are not hold vacuum, however the lost is slow, i have tested the valve on the air box and it does indeed shut of vacuum to the mounts at just over 1000rpm.
Yet i still have a slight lag when accelerating after cruising.
I have cleaned the turbo control valve (the one above the starter motor), how do i test this valve?
what else can i check?

Have you blocked off the hose from the TCV to the mounts?

fuel filter was changed about 4 months ago when the service was done, i did the service the day after i got the car (and also dismantled the EGR and cleaned it because each time i pulled away a bit hard, engine service came on and codes pointed to EGR, never been a problem since)
As for make, it was not a VOLVO one, i think it was a MANN one.
