Default T5: Connector/sensor on the loose!

With the nearside front wheel and wheel arch liner removed I was exploring around the windscreen washer reservoir on my 2008 V50 T5 the other day. To my surprise I found what could be a stray sensor of some kind.

See pics attached (hopefully)

The connector to the loom has two wires; green/yellow & black.

Does anyone have any idea what this is and where it's supposed to be mounted?

Thanks

If I had to guess I would think its connector to something that your car is not fitted with (rear window pump activation or headlamp washer pump or something like that?)but is part of generic wirng loom.
But its just a guess, never seen this type socket before.

Is the visible black pin possibly a blanking/sealing plug ?

As suggested, possibly for an option which your car does not currently have fitted ?
