Default Battery Charging

Hi All. My good lady wife's 2016 V60 R Design has a flat battery and I am trying to tell her how to charge the battery remotely (I am working away). She says the terminals are under the dash and can't reach them. So silly Question I know but is there a knack to charging the battery in situ ? Thanks in adfvance

If my late 2016 is the same, the battery is half under the plastic shroud in front of the wipers, and half jutting into the engine bay. There are two covers to remove - the rear half has a plastic screw that you turn 90 degrees (that basically allows the cover to be lifted off) , and the front half cover pushes down and press clips in (and the clips are easy to break).
You also have to lift up the rubber seal that runs across the engine bay to slide the covers out under the front part of the bulkhead.

Search some photos and email her as easier in pictures !

Does it have the aux battery, small one under the bonnet?

If so don't remove the battery, place the charger red on the red terminal and the charger black on a threaded pole which should be near the inner wing securing a black plastic box of goodies, use an agm charger if you use any charger you will kill the battery, charging charges both batteries in situ. hth.

I should mention if this is the case there should be a bigger battery in the boot somewhere normally behind the side panel.
