Default First V60 service for me

So, 8 year old, 54k/miles V60 2.0TD D3 S/S.
This is will be my first service on this car, it's been to local garages before we bought it and it seems to have fared well.

I've got a DICE but as the V60 is 2016, it's pretty much useless so use VDASH.

Question is, what to look out for one this service as I there are no guide manuals for it.
According to g00gle, given it's age, this should be service no8.......do I need to stick to that?
No real history of previous work done except for stamps in docs at required service points.

Br John.

Although Vida won’t connect, the 2014d has pretty much all the info for the VEA V60 as it was around in 2014 - from memory it’s the only 2014 diesel 4 cylinder 2L in the engine codes.

More generally if you don’t know the history I’d start with doing everything (all filters etc) as a reset then going from a known base.

Thank you, same as I thought.
what are peoples preferences regarding filters (not Volvo supplied).

Oil is a no brainer, full spec every time.

Mann filter would be my preference if not using genuine. I’m pretty certain they make the genuine ones anyhow.

There are quite a few dealers selling genuine parts on ebay - worth a look. I use Volvopartstrade for the C30 usually.

Cambelt is 90000 miles or 10 years so that is coming up but do it in 2 years.
do the fuel and air filter now if history is unknown.

get the auto gearbox oil changed, now is a good time to do it.

Then next year will be a basic service ask volvo for an Essential service for that one. Its the minimum.

pollen filter is done on every service, any idea when it was last changed? There is a manufacturing date on it... safe to change every 2 years.

If you are doing it yourself be sure to use Volvo spec 0w/20 oil
VCC RBS0-2AE specially designed with Castrol for volvo VEA engines. If a garage is changing the oil make sure they use that unique oil for your engine.
