Question Seat Covers

Hi all!

New member, now a V70 owner & I formerly had a 2002 V40 T4 "facelift" that was much loved and enjoyed from 2005 to 2013. A friend bought my old T4 & it's still going great.

By way of background, my daughter & son-in-law live on their small farm in rural mid-west France and during a visit to France in April I bought a right-hand drive V70 (II) SE D5 Auto 185BHP with winter pack, family pack, Volvo boot floor liner/tray, Volvo removable tow bar etc.

It has 191,000 miles on the clock, a new 2 year French "Contrôle Technique" MOT, full service history & tons of paperwork, still pulls like a train, new Michelin tyres & the French mechanic who very fully serviced it for me this month seems to think - if my French is correct - that the car's good for its age, with a slight query re rust on the exhaust.

It was first registered in UK in late March 2007 on an 07 plate then was exported & re-registered in France approx. 2 years ago.

The idea is that my wife & I + close family members will use it while we're visiting over there and my daughter & son-in-law can use it to lug large loads & tow trailers for the farm and also it's big enough to safely & comfortably carry their luggage including pushchair & other baby paraphernalia, dog etc. when they visit us in UK.

So my question to you today is, can you recommend any value for money seat covers that will protect the cream leather seats from farm crud, dog claws/paws/hair etc. that I can source in UK & take with me on my next visit in a couple of months time please? Despite its age, I want to keep the interior in reasonable condition without breaking the bank.

For the front seats I'm thinking maybe faux leather covers that take account of the side airbags and the electric driver's seat memory controls. Not looking to spend a fortune but at the same time don't want the covers constantly slipping either.

For the back seats, I'm thinking more of a dog cover but one that takes account of the retro-fit ISOfix that's about to be installed for the outer left rear seat (i.e. nearside rear in UK) and the factory-fitted child booster seats that pop-up from the 2 outer rear seats, so maybe a cover that comes in 2 halves & velcros or zips together? If I knew the width of the back seat bench that would at least be a start...

Sorry for the long post but the car is the best part of 500 miles away most of the time, so I want to get the right covers at the first attempt!

Thanks in anticipation.
